DELTANS Planet: 114-Delta V

Very little is known about this race, even though they are members of the Federation. Deltans exhibit a characteristically bald head, except for eyebrows, and are known for their highly developed sexuality. During the 23rd Century, members of the race were forced to take oaths of celebacy before traveling off-world, due to the fact that sex holds such a high position in their society and is very intense. Such oaths were disregarded by the 24th century, however. To keep their sex drives under control, however, the Deltans take an almost Vulcan-like attitude towards emotions so as to not get overly stimulated. Likewise, members of the Deltan race have been known to exhibit limited telepathic abilities, though not to detail as the Betazeds (limited to pictures and emotions).
