Security Officer T'Vala

Physical Description: T'Vala has an odd combination of parents. She takes most of her looks from her mother whom is a Vulcan. However her fathers Klingon blood is obvious in both her appearance and her attitude. She has as surprisingly attractive appearance despite her bloodlines.

Background: Traveling aboard a Vulcan Science Academy transport, S'Val and the entire crew found themselves coming to the aid of a damaged Klingon vessel. When they arrived on the scene, it was discovered that the Bird of Prey was beyond repair. After being invited to board the Vulcan vessel, the Klingon's forced control of the ship and took command. Treating the ship as a Klingon vessel, everything aboard also belonged to them as the Captain of the vessel took S'Val as a temporary mate. She impressed the Captain by not putting up a fight and showing the strength and spirit worthy of a Klingon. Upon arrival at Q'onoS, the Klingons departed the ship peacefully and allowed the Vulcans to leave. It wasn't until they arrived back at the academy that S'Val learned that she was pregnant.

T'Vala was raised as a Vulcan, despite the obvious fact that she was half Klingon, and expected to uphold the Vulcan mastering of logic. All through her childhood, however, she had trouble but continued to push herself to overcome her genetic enheritance to become a focused member of society .... most of the time. While day-to-day activities left her with complete control, but when stress began to set in, she was known to occasionally crack and begin to show emotion. As such, she would not be permitted to follow in her mother's footsteps into the Vulcan Science Academy. Instead, she chose to apply for Starfleet Academy, especially once the Dominion War began and officers were in high demand.

After a whirlwind boot camp academy experience, T'Vala graduated with high scores in Tactical, but was assigned to the U.S.S. Desperado to serve in the security division. It was there that she met the Atlarian Jayngo and, though she maintained her Vulcan teachings, found him to be a faithful comrade and, in his eyes, friend. They served together during the war for the next two years until the final battle over Cardassia. After the death of their commanding officer, Jayngo was the natural choice to become chief, but he turned down the position to return to Starfleet Academy to join the medical division. Though not the second in line, T'Vala was an exemplary officer and was promoted to Chief of Security. She served with an exemplary record for the next four years, gaining the rank of Lieutenant.

When the U.S.S. Cochrane began accepting applications, T'Vala applied for and was accepted as the Chief Tactical Officer.

Personality: T'Vala has an obvious conflict in this area. Most of the time she acts as a respectable Vulcan. However as long as her fuse may be, it is still connected to a bomb. She is very embarrassed by her moody Klingon side and tries to hide it as much as possible.
